Based on a recent news report, the Lynx bookstore announced on Aug. 1 it will unveil a new library at Grace Marketplace in an effort to increase literacy and provide an extension of services the homeless shelter provides to the community. Aside from that, it was mentioned in the news that the library will be unveiled August 12, 2025, in the shelter's former mail room and will have more than 1,300 books for guests. Moreover, with the library added to the homeless shelter, it will extend its wide range of services like emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing, housing-focused street outreach, free meals and more to people without housing in Gainesville and Alachua County since its start in 2014.
